Ada Gons Goosen
Ada Gons Goosen is an independant, active artist specialising
in the use of alkyd paints on wood - including old doors, panels, shutters and
the like.. She paints on wood since, as a live medium, it offers
additional possibilities to the finished work.
She portrays animals in her own, intimate style. Through a
simplification and play of perspective, a tension is created in her
compositions. Striking too is the effect created by her extending the painting onto
the panel's frame. A strong sense of humour emanates from many of her
paintings.
Her spacious studio is situated in a centuries old farmhouse beside
the river Drecht in
the picturesque hamlet of Bilderdam, not so very far from Amsterdam.
